after the parade, j kicked me out of the house to go for some baby free time. i headed out to mcmenamins edgefield for some pitch n putt with sister m & her motley crew of smart people (aka doctors).
this was mid playing.
this was after about 2.5 hours of playing in intense heat & direct sunlight. we were all wilting, and had barely made it through a little over half the 20 hole course, when we decided to call it quits. we all hit one last ball, trying to see if we could make it two holes away. m got the farthest.
we started up at the top of the hill in this picture, near all the trees.
this is where m's ball landed. that woman has arms! and i guess, strong teeth... or else she's really really hungry.
it was a fun time. thanks for inviting the mom to come along. it was nice to get out of the house, albeit on a sweltering day. the shower when i returned felt soooo great. so did the air conditioning! after i was all cleaned up, we dropped off some stuff to send along with my parents as they drive down to tahoe, and then went to a friend's house for a bbq. we didn't get z into bed until 9. we had a great evening, and z was a trooper.
