a month in review...

it's late, and i need to go to sleep, but i just need to catch up a bit. november has been so incredibly busy!
1. i finally found a place to have the violin group classes for my workshop, although it's not super cheap. i'm not even sure it will have been necessary to do outside my studio, but oh well.
2. z has been confusing a few words. it's very cute. here are the latest: nutella began as mutella, and then morphed to numutella, and then finally nutella. z had had it on toast as a snack at school, and wanted some at home. luckily i had some in the house! another word was "i want to win the concert! i want to win the concert!" he meant "contest." i have him compete with s to get dressed for nap time (s is not dressing herself, so i'm in control of the outcome). the latest word was factory, instead of furnace. "mommy - there's water in the factory room!"
3. z will soon have two swimming classes, instead of soccer on thurs.
4. we put up xmas decorations yesterday (outside - no rain), and indoors today (rain, so we skipped the holiday parade downtown). z & i went to a neighbor's 3rd birthday party, while daddy & s ran some errands & then went to the gym. i took z to the gym & watched him climb, and then we went home for dinner while daddy stayed to climb for awhile. we had to decorate, because we're having all the neighbors over next sunday for appetizers. next weekend will be busy, as will today & tomorrow, so this was our main pocket of time.
5. it's been all about using time wisely. last weekend i had my students' recital (and everything went really well - i almost cried!), and i also had master classes to observe the next day. we went out to eat at old chicago (i had a free birthday pizza to claim) after the recital - kids were very well behaved. the weekend ended in a flurry of laundry.
6. fun was had yesterday, making crafts for thanksgiving, baking cookies to deliver, thanksgiving in canby, and then delivering baked cookies.
7. our friends c & r got engaged today!!! yay!
8. off to fold some laundry before trying to sleep again. 

a list of photos from z's birthday & s's birthday & everything else in between is made, and movies have been edited & compressed, so i hope to not lose the piece of paper before everything gets uploaded!
