children's museum

while z was in school, i took s to the children's museum for a morning of play time. it was so fun!

hail

here are the kids, touching hail from outside. it lived in our freezer for about 3 weeks.

i have no idea why this looks so weird, but i don't have the time to figure out how to use it. s & i went for a walk, and found a basketball lying on the ground.

z had a renal ultrasound the morning they would be celebrating st. patrick's day at school, so we got up extra early & daddy made his hair green & spiky. we got a lot of looks at the hospital, both for the green hair AND the batman coat. thankfully everything was fine with the ultrasound. it was a busy morning of running around, though. the followup appointment was at a different office than i had originally thought. i just happened to look at the check in information at the very last minute, and realized i had to rush across town. we made it in time, but i had to have grandma drop z off at school so i could make it home in time for teaching. thanks, grandma!!!

not only is her face still healing from getting scratched up, but her eyes are all gunky from being sick. this time around she had close to a week of a fever, along with the gunky eyes. part ear infection, stuffed nose, cough. this was no fun. she got better, though, of course.

annual soup nite at bodecker winery

we have been attending the "soup nite" at the bodecker winery now for 5 some years. it's a night of futures barrel tasting and soup. lots of fun! we keep inviting new friends each year. i was sick with an awful cold, so i tried to keep silent the whole night, having friends talk at me, so as not to cough the night away. i was clearly the designated driver.

my poor baby - she fell once again outside. she must learn to use her hands to keep her head from hitting the ground when she stumbles! this happened twice in a month. she's holding her little duck - her favorite stuffed animal. it used to be z's, but he gave it to her.

one morning, i received a text from a friend. two people had tickets to a gala fundraiser for the oregon repertory singers, but they could no longer go... would we be free? well, we were free, but we didn't have baby sitters. luckily, my friend's husband found a baby sitter for us, so off we went, out for the evening! it was lots of fun, especially since it was right before 3/4 of us got sick, for the second time, for basically all of march!

i learned my lesson. the day after purchasing these for s, vinny (our cat) chewed on them and completely destroyed them. $17 in the garbage. sigh. now we are sure to keep the goggles where he can't get to them!

this is always entertaining, both for s & us!

after little s just couldn't take it anymore outside in the snow, we went to the mt. hood brew pub for a relaxed lunch before the long drive home.

tubing at mt hood

one day in february we went tubing at mt. hood. s did NOT like the snow, so we spent most of the time in a little indoor play area. here's a pic of s in the ball pit. it was pretty cold in there, though, and it smelled like gasoline, so we left after a little while. i think z & j only spent 2 hours tubing because s was so miserable.
